Turn selected website text into audio narration with live word highlighting, making it easy to follow and focus.

Read Aloud is a Chrome Extension that turns text to speech.

IMPORTANT: After you install extension you have to refresh page. It does not work on webpage chrome web store. You need to go to a page you actually want it to read like Wikipedia, or google search.

To use Read Aloud, navigate to the web page you want to read:
1. To turn off/on the reading functionallity, Click the Read Aloud icon on the Chrome menu, click Circle Power button on top right of the popup, click again to deactivate.
2. Select text in web page and listen to it in the speakers/headset.
3. You can change the voice, reading speed and text word highlighter.

There are also some shortcuts:
Toggle On/Off: Alt + R
Play: Alt + P
Pause: Alt + S

Right clicking anywhere on the page, will provide you with yet another option to toggle on/off text to speech, via the context menu.
