YTPlay — Voice Search & Keyboard Shortcuts for YouTube Music
YouTube Music's website has NO voice search. The mobile app does, but the web player doesn't. YTPlay fixes that.
🎤 VOICE SEARCH (THE MISSING FEATURE)
Press M or click the mic icon — speak any song, artist, or album name and YTPlay searches it for you. No typing, no clicking.
• Auto-searches after 1 second of silence
• Automatically pauses playback while listening (so the mic doesn't pick up music)
• Supports 10 languages: Hindi, English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, French, Arabic, Portuguese, German, Chinese
• Hinglish mode: Recognizes Hindi speech and transliterates to Roman script — keeps your search history clean
• English mode: Perfect for foreign language songs (Provenza, Efecto, etc.)
• Toggle modes with Space, cycle languages with Tab
🎤 Works exactly like the mic button on YouTube — but for YouTube Music's web player, where it never existed.
⌨️ KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS THAT ACTUALLY WORK
YouTube Music's built-in shortcuts only work after you click the player. YTPlay's shortcuts work instantly, anywhere on the page.
• → Right Arrow: Skip forward 10s (double-press: next song)
• ← Left Arrow: Rewind 10s (double-press: previous song)
• ↑ Up Arrow: Volume up 5%
• ↓ Down Arrow: Volume down 5%
• M: Open voice search
No mouse. No clicking. Just press and go.
🔒 PRIVACY
• No data collection, no accounts, no tracking
