Overview

Sort your YouTube Watch Later playlist by video duration, either shortest to longest or longest to shortest, with a simple click. A backup is made before sorting in order to be able to restore the content of the playlist if an issue occurs during the sort process.
The extension only allows to sort/backup/restore Watch Later playlist.
v1.13
Polished animations throughout: modals and dialogs scale in and out, completed sorts and restores show an animated success checkmark, watch time totals pop in, sections expand and collapse smoothly, list rows reveal with a stagger, and loading shows a shimmer label plus skeleton rows. All animations respect the reduced-motion accessibility setting.
Cross-tab playback speed: the watch time "auto" speed now detects the playback speed set in other YouTube tabs or windows (e.g. by a speed-manager extension), not just the current tab.
In-page dialogs: native browser alert and confirm popups are replaced with animated in-page dialogs for sort confirmation, restore, rollback, and errors.
Animated tooltips: the watch time controls and the settings popup use smooth tooltips instead of native browser titles.
Faster buttons: removed a delay before the sort, backup, and history buttons responded.

v1.12
Sort by date added: sort your playlist by upload date — newest or oldest first. Videos without date metadata are moved to the end.
Sort alphabetically: sort by video title (A→Z) or channel name (A→Z) using locale-aware comparison.
Shuffle: randomise the playlist order using Fisher-Yates. Keyword grouping is bypassed so the result is fully random.
Duration filter: set a minimum and/or maximum video length (in minutes) — videos outside the range are moved to the end of the sorted list rather than removed. Active limits are shown in the filter header and persisted per account.
Preview before sorting: optional toggle in the extension popup to review the proposed order before any changes are committed.
More sort options panel: date, alphabetical, shuffle, and duration filter are grouped in a collapsible panel opened by a "More sort options" button, keeping the main sort row uncluttered.
Watch time auto speed: the playback speed selector in the watch time panel now includes an "auto" mode that reads YouTube's current video playback speed and uses it for the duration estimate.

v1.11
Watch time per category: collapsible panel under the keyword grouping section showing total duration and video count for each configured keyword group, plus an "Other" row for unmatched videos
Display unit toggle: cycle button (auto / h / d+h) switches totals between mixed (m/h/d), hours-only, and days+hours formats
Playback speed switcher: cycle button (1x / 1.5x / 2x / 4x) shows how long each category would take at faster playback speeds
Auto-recompute on keyword edits: editing keywords (add/remove/toggle/reorder) recomputes from cached videos without refetching; manual refresh button reloads the playlist

v1.10
YouTube UI compatibility: updated CSS selectors and icons to match YouTube's new button and layout syntax

v1.9
Per-group sort order: each keyword group has a toggle to sort its videos ascending or descending independently
...
Per-group enable/disable: checkbox on each keyword row to temporarily disable a group without removing it
Keyword list UI: chips replaced with a vertical row list — drag rows to reorder, with sort-order and enable controls per row

v1.8
Collapsible keyword section: click the "Keyword grouping" header to collapse or expand the chip input — state is saved per account
Enable/disable toggle: a switch in the keyword header lets you temporarily disable grouping without removing keywords

v1.7
Settings popup: click the extension icon to manage settings (confirm before sort, auto-backup, max backup history, keyword grouping toggle)
Keyword grouping: add keywords to group matching videos (by title or channel) at the end of the sorted playlist, with drag-to-reorder chip priority
Export & import backups: save any backup to a JSON file and reimport it later (file picker or drag-and-drop)
Delete individual backups from history
Fixed button injection failing after the first sort
Fixed progress overlay appearing when cancelling the sort confirmation dialog

v1.6
Backup history: keeps up to 5 backups with labels and timestamps, viewable in a History panel
Export & import backups: save any backup to a JSON file and reimport it later (file picker or drag-and-drop onto the History modal)
Delete individual backups from history
Account isolation: backup and sort data is now scoped per Google account to prevent cross-account conflicts
Fixed HTTP 400 errors on repeated sorts caused by stale playlist cache

v1.5.1
Fixed incorrect sort order caused by live video

v1.5
Updated Button Styling: Refreshed button appearance and placement for better integration with YouTube's UI
Refactored Playlist Sorting: More robust sorting algorithm that reconstructs the playlist for reliable ordering

v1.4
Added an overlay that provides details on the steps during the sort process

v1.3
Added backup and restore functionality
