Stop manually typing quotes or paying for transcription when YouTube already provides captions. This extension opens the transcript for you and lets you copy or download it in the format you need.

Core features

One-click flow — Click the icon; it automates opening the transcript on the watch page (works with current YouTube layouts).
Queue & batch export — Add several videos to a queue, then download one ZIP or multiple files using the same format (stored only on your device).
Smart filenames — Saves as video title + video ID so files are easy to find.
Copy — Plain text to the clipboard for notes, quotes, or AI tools.
Copy as Markdown — Optional, from the Options section.
Download — Pick a format, one download button: TXT for plain text,
SRT for standard subtitle format,
VTT for the new online video subtitle,
JSON for your LLM needs,
CSV for analysis,
and Markdown where you see fit.
Options — Clean text (normalize spacing and strip common filler words) and merge short lines (optional, with a length you control).
Refresh — Re-run extraction without closing the popup if you change videos or the page loads slowly.
Timestamps — Kept where the format needs them (e.g. SRT/VTT); plain TXT stays readable.
Multi-language UI — Works on English and Chinese (中文) YouTube interfaces.
How it works

Open any YouTube video with captions/transcript available.
Click the extension icon.
Choose Copy, Copy as Markdown (optional), or pick a format and Download.
Use Add current and Queue → ZIP / Queue → files when you’re collecting more than one video.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser. It reads transcript text from the page you’re on. No video files, no viewing history, and no transcript text are sent to our servers — there aren’t any.
