Overview
Hide hard-coded (burned-in) subtitles on YouTube videos with a movable, resizable blur box. Built for language immersion learners.
Features:
Toggle blur overlay with Alt+B
Drag to move, drag edges to resize -- position is saved automatically
Review Mode (Alt+R) -- rewinds and replays with subs visible, then blurred to test your listening
1-pass or 2-pass review (2-pass also replays blurred to confirm listening)
Auto Review Mode -- continuous mode that loops chunk by chunk
OCR subtitle mining (Alt+M) -- extract text from hard subs for dictionary lookup
Anki integration -- automatically attaches screenshot and sentence audio to new cards
Adjustable blur strength, rewind duration, and more in settings
The blur box works instantly with no setup. OCR and Anki features require a local Python server -- see GitHub for instructions.
