Overview
YouTube Stream OT Spoiler Shield helps reduce runtime-based spoilers on YouTube streamed VODs.
If you watch esports, tournament VODs, or long streams, you already know the feeling: one look at the timeline and your brain starts guessing the result.
It hides the visible full duration, replaces the normal progress bar with a spoiler-safe stretched timeline, and keeps playback scrubbing usable so you can still jump around the video.
The extension can also hide comments and suggested videos, which often contain spoilers or related match results.
By default, it applies only to streamed VODs, so normal YouTube watching is not broadly affected.
KEY FEATURES:
- Hides the visible full duration
- Replaces the normal progress bar with a stretched spoiler-safe timeline
- Keeps current playback time visible
- Lets you hide comments
- Lets you hide suggested videos
- Applies to streamed VODs by default
HOW TO USE:
1. Install the extension.
2. Open a YouTube streamed VOD.
3. The spoiler shield applies automatically with the default settings.
4. Open the popup only if you want to adjust the timeline or spoiler-area options.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Timeline stretch is randomized within a user-defined range.
- A minimum gap is enforced between the minimum and maximum settings.
- Very large fake timelines are capped to keep scrubbing usable.
- Settings are stored locally in the browser.
