Control YouTube playback speed with keyboard shortcuts.

Speed up or slow down YouTube videos effortlessly using simple keyboard shortcuts. Perfect for quickly skipping through long videos or slowing down to catch every detail.

How to Use

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and go to any recorded YouTube video.

Use the following keyboard shortcuts:

Ctrl + Alt + ↑ Increase speed
Ctrl + Alt + ↓ Decrease speed

As you press the shortcuts, a small popup will show:

✅ Current playback speed
✅ Total time saved so far

If you click the extension icon you get information about the current video:
- Current Speed
- Original Duration
- Current Duration
- Remaining Time
- Saved Time

Considerations

⏫ Speed Up: Jump ahead faster
⏬ Slow Down: Take your time and understand better
⏱️ Live Summary: Get real-time feedback on current speed and saved time

💡 Notes

This only works on recorded videos (not live streams or Youtueb Shorts).
The shortcut works anywhere on the page—no need to focus the player.
Speed changes persist while you're on the video page.
