Overview
YFull Finder (Ajwla) is a browser tool designed to integrate genealogical meta-information directly into YFull.com pages. The extension automates the display of surnames, family associations, and geographic data.
🚀 Key features and capabilities:
🧬 Native enrichment: Data (surnames, ethnicities, clans/teips, regions) is integrated into the YFull tree. You immediately see surnames and flags next to sample IDs.
☁️ Real-time synchronization: All edits are saved in a unified database. Information added by one user instantly becomes available to everyone else.
🛠️ Tools for contributors:
• [+] buttons on YFull pages for quickly adding information.
• My Requests tab to track the moderation status of your submissions.
• Personal account on the web portal to manage your entries.
📸 Smart Screenshots: A built-in tool for creating high-quality tree snapshots. Automatically hides unnecessary interface elements and allows you to crop the desired branch in high resolution.
🎨 Personalization and styles:
• Lite theme: A strict and compact view for working with large branches.
• Premium theme: A modern design with a frosted glass effect and enhanced animation.
🛡️ Profile and privacy:
• Uploading and convenient cropping of your own avatars.
• Anonymous contribution mode (Shadow Profile).
• “Hide name in leaderboard” option for privacy protection.
🌐 Localization: The interface is fully available in Abkhaz, Russian, English, and Spanish.
💡 Important note: The database operates on a Wiki principle — it is a collaborative project. The extension does not alter the original scientific data of YFull, but only overlays an additional layer of genealogical information. We encourage every researcher to contribute for the common good.
