X Windowed Fullscreen makes videos, GIFs, and live broadcasts on X fill the browser window while keeping Chrome out of system fullscreen. Your tabs, browser controls, other windows, and desktop remain easily accessible.

It is ideal for watching content while multitasking, using multiple monitors, or working with a carefully arranged desktop.

HOW IT WORKS

Use the window button added directly to X’s video controls, open the extension popup, or press the keyboard shortcut. The selected player expands over X’s interface and uses all available space inside the browser.

Press the same button, use the shortcut again, or press Escape to return to the normal view.

Traditional fullscreen takes over the entire display. X Windowed Fullscreen keeps the video inside Chrome, making it easier to switch tabs, use other applications, monitor chats, or continue working without constantly entering and leaving system fullscreen.

PRIVACY

X Windowed Fullscreen contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or remotely hosted code. It does not send browsing activity, website content, or personal information to the developer or third parties.

Video-player elements are processed locally in your browser. The extension stores only your player-button preference and configured keyboard shortcut using Chrome’s synchronized extension storage.
