Whatsapp Chooser

WhatsApp Chooser lets you pick between WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business every time you click a wa.me link.

If you use both a personal and a business WhatsApp account on your Mac, you know the problem: clicking a wa.me link always opens the same app, with no way to choose. This extension fixes that.

HOW IT WORKS
- Click any wa.me or api.whatsapp.com link
- A clean chooser popup appears showing the contact number
- Pick "WhatsApp" or "WhatsApp Business", the right app opens instantly

- Works with wa.me, api.whatsapp.com, and web.whatsapp.com links
- Shows the phone number and message text before you choose
- Fully configurable: works with any WhatsApp-compatible client (ChatMate, etc.)
- Fast native messaging host written in C, no lag, no dependencies

Setup (macOS, one time)

This extension needs a small helper to launch the WhatsApp app you pick.
The easiest way to install it is with Homebrew:

1. Install Homebrew if you do not have it yet (see brew.sh)
2. Open Terminal and run:
brew tap onemanjoe/whatsapp-chooser https://github.com/onemanjoe/whatsapp-chooser
brew install whatsapp-chooser-host
whatsapp-chooser-host configure
whatsapp-chooser-host register
3. Quit Chrome completely and reopen it

That is it. Prefer not to use Homebrew? You can still install the helper
manually from the GitHub repository;
