Video Downloader Elite

Video Downloader Elite helps you detect and download supported video resources used by the current page.

The extension scans the active browsing context for common video formats and HLS playlists, then lets you download them through a simple interface. For HLS streams, Video Downloader Elite can parse the playlist, fetch media segments, preserve segment order, and export a local .ts file.

Features:

- Detects common video resources from the current tab
- Supports direct video files such as .mp4, .webm, and similar formats
- Supports HLS playlist downloads (.m3u8)
- Groups HLS segments under their parent playlist for cleaner browsing
- Uses a dedicated download tab for more stable download handling
- Works locally in your browser with no external upload required

Important notes:

- DRM-protected streams are not supported
- Some websites may block cross-origin media access
- Some media URLs may be temporary or expire quickly
- The extension works only with media your browser can access
