Vgc Practice Extension

Train smarter for VGC on Pokemon Showdown. This extension adds toggleable features that make online battles feel closer to an official tournament, helping you build habits that translate directly to in-person play.

Features

- In-Game Only Info — Simulates Showdown's Hardcore mode everywhere. Hides the battle log, damage numbers, HP bars, abilities, and speed ranges so you rely on your own tracking, just like on cart.

- Hide Elo Change — Removes rating gained or lost after a match so you can focus on play quality, not the ladder.

- Hide Opponent Identity — Conceals your opponent's username and trainer sprite to eliminate bias from reputation or prior matchups.

- Hide My Identity — Hides your own username and sprite, useful for streaming or recording practice sets.

- No Cancel Moves — Locks in your selection once made. No take-backs, just like at a real event.

- No Skip Animations — Forces move animations to play out fully, matching the pacing of cartridge play.

- Pin Opponent's Team — Keeps the opponent's Open Team Sheet pinned to the top of the battle log for quick reference during Best-of-3 team preview formats.

How it works

Click the extension icon to open the popup and flip any feature on or off. Each toggle is independent, so you can build a practice setup that matches the exact conditions you want to train for. Refresh your Showdown tab after toggling to apply changes.

Privacy

The extension only runs on play.pokemonshowdown.com. It doesn't collect, transmit, or store any personal data — settings are saved locally via Chrome's built-in sync storage.
