Untangle helps you understand, not just measure, your screen use. It goes beyond basic tracking with personalized daily labels, productivity metrics, time‑of‑day patterns, and external suggestions (“things to look out for”) that encourage reflection and better habits.

Over time, Untangle learns your unique usage patterns using unsupervised machine learning (k-means). Labels adapt to you, while staying fully private and local.

What Untangle shows:
- Daily label + confidence (e.g., Focused, Sprint, Fragmented, Night‑owl)
- Focus and productivity metrics (longest streak, productive mix)
- Time‑of‑day insights (day vs. night minutes)
- Per‑site breakdown (with your own categories and “Productive?” flags)
- Gentle “things to look out for” cues to spark reflection and concrete action (e.g., dehydration, sleep debt, stress)
- Trend charts after 3 or more days of use

Personalization:
- Day 1: clear, rule‑based labels
- After ~2 weeks: boundaries start to become more personalized while keeping labels familiar and interpretable.
- Over time, evaluation becomes tailored to your specific behavioral profile. Unique user metrics are strengthened/updated weekly
- You stay in control: edit categories, mark sites as Productive/Unproductive/Misc

Getting started
- Use the web as normal.
- After ~30 minutes of active time, your first daily label appears.
- In Options → Categories, set categories and productivity flags for accurate, tailored insights.
- Return to Overview to see daily summaries, trends, and suggestions.
