Overview
Meet Turtle Buddy — a tiny pixel-art turtle that lives in your browser and walks along the bottom of every page you visit. It's a calm little companion for your workday: it wanders on its own, naps, and pops up gentle words of encouragement now and then.
🐢 WHAT IT DOES
• Walks, sits, sleeps and wakes up on its own — a living little pet, not a static image.
• Right-click the turtle to open a radial command menu (just like The Sims): Walk, Follow, Sit, Sleep, Wave, Cheer.
• Drag it anywhere with your mouse. Drop it from up high and it tumbles down and lands with a squash.
• Hover your cursor near it and it sits down to wait for you.
• Sends short encouraging messages while you browse ("You've got this!", "Slow & steady 🐢").
✨ ONE TURTLE, EVERY TAB
The turtle follows you across tabs — only the tab you're looking at shows it, and it continues from where it left off when you switch. It feels like the same single pet, not a copy on every page.
🎛️ EASY ON / OFF
Click the toolbar icon to toggle the turtle on or off instantly across all tabs. Your choice is remembered.
🔒 PRIVACY FIRST
Turtle Buddy collects nothing. No tracking, no analytics, no accounts, no network requests. The only thing it stores is your on/off setting and the turtle's last position — saved locally in your browser. That's it.
Note: the turtle appears on normal web pages only. Browser system pages (chrome://, the Web Store, the new-tab page) and PDF files don't allow extensions to draw on them, so it won't show there.
Made with love for anyone who wants a friendlier, less lonely browser. 🐢💚
