TREEDENT
====================================================
Treedent is a privacy-friendly tree-style tab manager for Google Chrome.
It transforms overwhelming tab chaos into a structured, collapsible tree. Tabs opened from a page stay linked as children, so browsing sessions keep their context. Whether you work with research-heavy workflows, many windows, or long-running sessions, Treedent helps you stay organized and keep control.
Treedent v2 introduces a rebuilt runtime focused on reliability: session state is managed authoritatively in the background, with deterministic persistence and restoration.
====================
KEY FEATURES
====================
▪ Authoritative Session Runtime (v2)
Treedent now uses a background-owned source of truth for session and tree state, improving consistency and reducing drift.
▪ Tree-Style Sidebar
View tabs and folders in a nested hierarchy and collapse branches to reduce noise.
▪ Drag-and-Drop Reordering and Nesting
Move tabs or whole branches exactly where you need them in the tree.
▪ Search, Multi-Select, and Bulk Actions
Find items quickly and apply actions across multiple tabs at once.
▪ Snapshot History and Restore
Capture workspace snapshots and restore full sessions or individual snapshot windows.
▪ Deterministic Startup Recovery
Treedent applies explicit restore rules for restart/crash scenarios and avoids accidental session overwrite.
▪ Tab and Branch Operations
Activate, pin/unpin, duplicate, refresh, mute, discard, close, copy link, and run branch-level actions.
▪ Window Workflows
Move selected items to new/existing windows and import trees from other windows.
▪ In-Page Sidebar Mode
Use Treedent in Chrome side panel mode or in-page injected mode with configurable position, width, and behavior.
▪ Deep Focus and Auto-Collapse
Focus on one branch at a time and reduce unrelated tree noise during tab switching.
▪ Options, Logs, and Debugging
Configure behavior, language, and styling, and inspect logs/snapshot/runtime diagnostics directly in the extension UI.
▪ Flexible Theming and Styling
Use built-in themes, live preview, and advanced style settings including custom theme workflows.
▪ Privacy-First Design
No hidden telemetry. Your tab/session data stays local in your browser.

----------------------------------------------------
Version 2.0.3 • Runtime recovery and diagnostics improvements
----------------------------------------------------
Description:
This update improves runtime reliability by adding automatic recovery paths and expands diagnostics for scheduled auto-discard and startup restore behavior.
--- Features ---

• Added options/debugging visibility for auto-discard scheduler state and recent scan outcomes.
• Added automatic resolution for stale pending startup-restore decisions by restoring and preserving unmatched browser tabs.
--- Improvements ---
• Improved session-change broadcasting with attached refreshed read-model state for more reliable sidebar updates.
• Improved startup restore policy handling by normalizing legacy ask-style policy to restore-and-keep behavior.
--- Bug Fixes ---
• Fixed replay-failure handling to clear invalid journal entries and recover with a ready snapshot state instead of remaining degraded.
• Fixed startup restore edge cases so meaningful existing browser tabs are preserved during automatic restore flows.
• Fixed diagnostic persistence and synchronization edge cases around scheduled auto-discard state reporting.
----------------------------------------------------
Version 2.0.2 • Sidebar shortcut parity and placement stability updates
----------------------------------------------------
Description:
This update restores a v1 sidebar shortcut in v2 and improves tab placement and synchronization reliability during restore and runtime reconciliation.
--- Features ---
• Reintroduced sidebar double-click shortcuts from v1 to quickly create tabs and folders in v2.
--- Improvements ---
• Improved new-tab placement accuracy by using navigation signals during reconciliation.
--- Bug Fixes ---
• Fixed shift-click behavior to close the intended tab branch from the sidebar.
• Fixed blocked browser sync coalescing to avoid missed or delayed synchronization runs.
• Fixed closed-tab restoration placement to keep restored tabs in the expected tree location.
----------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------
Description:
This patch improves tree editing consistency by fixing edge cases in multi-item drag-and-drop and child-tab placement order.
--- Bug Fixes ---
• Fixed an issue where moving multiple selected items as one drag block could behave incorrectly.
• Fixed browser ordering for newly created child tabs so placement is consistent with tree expectations.
----------------------------------------------------
