Overview
Town Hall Talks is a universal comment layer that lets you join discussions on any webpage.
Instead of being limited to a website’s built-in comment section, Town Hall Talks allows users to open a discussion overlay on any page and participate in a shared, page-specific conversation.
HOW IT WORKS
When you visit a webpage, you can open the Town Hall Talks overlay to view or join the discussion for that specific page. The extension reads the current page URL and basic page metadata (such as the page title) to map and display the correct discussion thread.
FEATURES
• Universal discussions on any webpage
• Simple overlay interface that does not modify the website itself
• Like/dislike system to reflect page sentiment
• Reply system and notifications for ongoing conversations
• Trending discussions across the web
• Anonymous participation with a persistent extension identifier
OFFICIAL COMMENTS
Businesses, organizations, and website owners can post official spokesperson responses tied to their domain, helping users distinguish verified responses from general discussion.
MODERATION
User-generated content is moderated through automated systems and user reporting to maintain a safe and usable environment. As well as a community moderation system
PRIVACY
Town Hall Talks does not collect or store the content of the webpages you visit. The extension reads the page URL and basic metadata (such as the page title) only to load the correct discussion thread.
All interaction happens within the extension interface, which can be opened or closed at any time.
ADVERTISING
Advertisements may be displayed inside the extension interface. Ads are not injected into the underlying website content.
PERMISSIONS
The extension requires access to all websites in order to provide a universal comment layer. This access is used solely to identify the current page and display its associated discussion thread.
Install Town Hall Talks to see what the internet is really saying, on every page.
