WHY YOU NEED THIS
Most brokerages—like Fidelity, Schwab, or Vanguard—show only price return or current value. They don't factor in dividends, making it hard to know your real total return. This free calculator fills that gap: enter your actual buy and sell lots with dates and quantities, toggle DRIP on or off, and get a complete picture of your investment performance.

WHAT YOU GET
• Total Invested — Your total cost basis across all tax lots
• End Value — Current market value plus any sale proceeds
• Dividends Received — Total cash dividends earned over the holding period
• Price Return — Return based on price appreciation alone
• Total Return — Full return including dividends (reinvested or as cash)
• Annualized Return — Your return expressed as an annual rate for easy comparison
• Holding Period — Time from earliest lot to present

HOW IT WORKS
1. Enter a ticker symbol (e.g. AAPL, JNJ, VTI, SCHD)
2. Add tax lots with dates, quantities, and buy/sell type
3. Optionally use custom cost basis or custom sale prices per lot
4. Toggle "Reinvest Dividends" to compare DRIP vs. cash dividends
5. Click Calculate Return
