What you get on X

Timeline workspace
Load posts from your current view into a table so you can work through them in one place. For each post you can:

Generate a natural reply with an Agree / Disagree / Neutral stance.
Generate an evergreen promo reply when the model finds a relevant article from your library for that conversation.
Copy the draft, then use Reply to open X’s composer with your text (the extension steps aside so you can finish and send in the native UI).
Use quick social actions where supported — like, unlike, follow, unfollow, repost, or undo repost — so common engagement stays next to your draft.

Quick panel on a single post
Open a compact panel for the post you’re looking at: today’s scheduled posts, planned content (search and copy), instant reply (natural or evergreen promo), quote helper (reply line plus citation), and relatable story (longer analogy or narrative when the topic calls for it).

Quotes and stories
Quote: Produces a suggested reply plus a citation block (with source link when available). Server-side web search can improve real-world quotes when your deployment is configured for it.
Relatable story: Generates a story or analogy tied to the post you’re responding to.

Content ops
See pending scheduled posts for today from your TheAlterMeAI schedule; copy text and mark items as posted when you’re done.
Browse planned content with search and pagination; copy full text into X when you’re ready.
Control

Toggle the extension on or off from the main panel so you only inject UI when you want it.
A floating control reflects whether the assistant is active.
Per-tweet controls (where enabled) let you jump into the quick flow without losing place on the timeline.
Account and setup

TheAlterMeAI connects to your TheAlterMeAI web account. Sign in through your app, then use the extension on X. The popup shows server and account status and links to your dashboard when you need the full app.

Permissions (plain language)
Storage: Saves preferences (for example whether the assistant is active) and session-related data the extension needs to work smoothly.
Cookies: Uses your signed-in session with TheAlterMeAI so API calls run as you, not as someone else.
Tabs / active tab: Opens your dashboard or sign-in when you choose, and talks to the X tab you’re using.
Host access: Only x.com, twitter.com, and your TheAlterMeAI app origin — so the extension can run on X and call your backend.

Features that rely on search-backed quotes or article matching depend on your TheAlterMeAI configuration and content library.
