• Qidian chapter fix — Qidian recently updated their page rendering and moved chapter data deeper into the SSR payload (pageData.chapterInfo). The extension now checks the new path first and falls back to the old one, so Qidian chapters that were silently failing to load now translate correctly again.

• JJWXC chapter content fix — translations on jjwxc.net no longer come back as the loading placeholder ("请稍候") or as raw page scripts. The extension now reads from JJWXC's current chapter container and ignores inline `<script>` / `<style>` blocks, so the translated text matches the chapter you actually clicked.
• Hardened HTML-to-text extraction — defense-in-depth across all supported sites: `<script>`, `<style>`, `<noscript>`, and `<iframe>` bodies are stripped before text is collected, preventing source-page JavaScript or CSS from leaking into translations.

1. Install the extension and sign in to your TeaNovel account
2. Visit any supported Chinese novel site
3. The extension detects the novel and shows a floating panel
4. Click "Translate" — the chapter is translated and opens in the reader

🔒 PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS
• storage — Saves preferences and authentication state locally.
• activeTab — Reads the current page to extract novel content for translation.
• tabs — Opens translated chapters in the TeaNovel reader.
• cookies — Observes only the TeaNovel sign-in cookie on auth.teanovel.com to sync your login status instantly across the popup and reader. The cookie value is never read or transmitted, and no cookies from other sites are accessed.

This extension only communicates with TeaNovel services (read.teanovel.com and auth.teanovel.com) and the supported Chinese novel sites listed above. Error reports may be sent to Sentry (sentry.io) for crash diagnostics in production builds. No novel content or personal data is included.
