Overview
Every webpage is hiding a word. Yours to find.
TabWord scans your current tab and secretly selects a valid 5-letter word from the page content. Open the extension, make your guesses, and use the color clues to zero in — green means right letter, right spot. Yellow means right letter, wrong spot. Gray means not in the word at all.
You get six guesses. The tab doesn't give hints.
**Why TabWord is different**
Most word games hand you a pre-selected daily puzzle. TabWord pulls its word from whatever you're actually reading — a news article, a Wikipedia entry, a blog post. The word changes by site and resets every day, so there's always a new puzzle waiting on your next tab.
**Features**
• Page-sourced words — pulled from real content on your current tab
• Daily rotation — same site, same word all day; new word tomorrow
• Letter tracking — keyboard updates with each guess
• Stats — win percentage, streaks, and guess distribution
• Share your results — copy the emoji grid and post it anywhere
• Saves progress — close the popup mid-game and pick up where you left off
• No account, no tracking, no data collection
**How to play**
1. Open any webpage (news, Wikipedia, a blog — anything works)
2. Click the TabWord icon in your toolbar
3. Guess the hidden 5-letter word in six tries or fewer
4. Come back tomorrow for a new word on the same site
