Sunshades

Sunshades lays a soft, adjustable shade over any web page — like slipping on a pair of sunglasses for your browser.

Bright white pages can be harsh, especially at night. Sunshades lets you dim them to a level that's comfortable for your eyes, with a single dimmer you can fine-tune from barely-there to deep shade.

HOW TO USE
1. Click the Sunshades icon in your toolbar.
2. Flip the switch on.
3. Drag the dimmer to your preferred darkness. That's it — it remembers next time.

Note: browsers do not allow extensions to run on their own internal pages (the new-tab page, the settings pages, and the extensions store), so the shade will not appear there. This is normal.
