Overview
Socksy lets you instantly switch a SOCKS5 proxy on or off with a single click — no digging through Chrome settings.
Features:
One-click proxy toggle directly from the toolbar
Supports any SOCKS5 server (SSH tunnel, VPS, etc.)
Whitelist — specify domains that always bypass the proxy (e.g. local services, banking sites)
Wildcard support in whitelist (*.example.com)
Settings are saved between sessions
How it works:
Configure your SOCKS5 server host and port once, then toggle the proxy on and off as needed. When the proxy is active, all browser traffic is routed through your server — except domains on your whitelist.
Typical use case:
Run ssh -D 1080 user@your-server.com to create an SSH tunnel, point Socksy at localhost:1080, and switch it on whenever you need a secure connection.
