Sniff It protects you from overpaying on products sold by dropshipping stores
and shady Shopify sites. As you browse, it quietly checks whether the item
you're looking at is being resold at a huge markup — and shows you where to
find the same thing at a fair price.

• Price check. Compares the store's price against typical market rates on

Flags items that are meaningfully overpriced.

• Safety check. Evaluates the domain, TLD, and product category for
signals commonly associated with low-quality dropshipping or scam stores.

• Respects real brands. If you're on gymshark.com buying Gymshark, or
nike.com buying Nike, Sniff It knows you can't get the real thing cheaper
elsewhere and stays out of your way.

• Find it cheaper. One click opens a tile grid of pre-filled searches on
Amazon, AliExpress, Walmart, eBay, Temu and Google Shopping so you can
compare in seconds.

• Currency aware. Detects the store's currency from the page and converts
to your preferred display currency using daily exchange rates. Set your
preferred currency once in the extension settings.

HOW IT WORKS

1. You visit a product page on any store.
2. Sniff It extracts the title, price, currency, and image.
3. It sends that metadata to a price-analysis service that estimates the
typical market range and flags inflated prices.
4. If the deal looks overpriced or risky, a compact modal appears with a
Safety tab and a Price tab. You can see exactly how much more you'd pay,
what similar items sell for, and why the store was flagged.
5. Click "View alternatives" to search major marketplaces with one click.

Nothing happens on pages that aren't product pages. Nothing happens when
the product is fairly priced on a legitimate brand store.
