Strips away ads, sidebars, and distractions. Reformats the page into a clean, easy-to-read layout with large serif text and comfortable spacing.

🔊 READ PAGE ALOUD
Click once and SilverSight reads the page aloud with word-by-word highlighting so you can follow along. Adjust speed and pitch, or pick your preferred voice.

✂️ SIMPLIFY PAGE
Hides popups, cookie banners, ads, and navigation clutter so only the content remains.

🖱️ RIGHT-CLICK TO READ SELECTION
Highlight any text, right-click, and choose "Read selection aloud" to hear just that passage.

⌨️ KEYBOARD SHORTCUT
Press Ctrl+Shift+S (or Command+Shift+S on Mac) to toggle Reader Mode on any page.

SilverSight collects no data. No tracking. No analytics. No cloud services. No external servers. Everything runs locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in speech synthesis.

Your preferences are saved only on your own device. When you uninstall, everything goes with it.

WHY I BUILT THIS

I built SilverSight for my parents' generation — people who grew up with clear print newspapers and now face cluttered websites with tiny text, autoplaying videos, and endless popups. Elderly users deserve a web that welcomes them, not one that excludes them.

This tool is free. It collects nothing. It exists to help.

Feedback welcome. More features coming in v1.1 including voice commands and additional accessibility improvements.

HOW TO USE

1. Click the SilverSight icon in your toolbar
2. Click "Read Page" to have the page read aloud, or
3. Toggle "Reader Mode" for a cleaner layout, or
4. Toggle "Simplify Page" to hide distractions
5. Adjust Speed, Pitch, and Voice to your preference

That's it. Simple by design.
