Sidepanel Agent

Sidepanel Agent turns your browser’s side panel into an AI chat assistant. You can ask questions, get help with writing and coding, and search the web — without leaving your current tab.

Why install it

Always available — Click the extension icon to open the chat in the side panel. Your page stays visible while you talk to the AI.
Your choice of AI — Use any model on OpenRouter (e.g. GPT-4, Claude, Llama, StepFun). You bring your own API key and pick the model in Settings.
Real-time answers — Responses stream in as they’re generated, with Markdown (code, lists, tables) rendered in the chat.
Web search and page reading — Optional Tavily integration lets the AI search the web and read full page content when you enable it and add your API key.
Thinking mode — Turn on “Thinking” before sending to use extended reasoning on harder questions (for models that support it).
No data sent to us — Your API keys and settings are stored only in your browser. Chat history is not saved after you close the panel.
