Overview
This add-on is a fork of the original 'ShovelShare' by Matthew, available on Firefox Add-ons. It enables you to quickly share the page you're viewing with your favorite Digg Community.
How it works:
Simply click the extension icon in your browser toolbar, and then select 'Submit to Digg.' This will launch a new pop-up window with the Digg submission screen, and your current page's URL will be automatically pre-populated. All you have to do is select the community, add any optional text, and then submit.
Important Note:
If you're not already logged into Digg on your browser and haven't been active on the site in the past 24 hours, the plugin may occasionally fail to load the URL for you the first time. If this happens, simply close the pop-up and try again. It should then work as expected. (The original author intended to address this edge case in a future release.)
