Overview
Send to Folio is the official browser companion for myfolio.so. Click the toolbar icon on any article and the page is read right inside your browser, converted to clean markdown, and sent to your Folio inbox.
Why it's different
• Client-side scraping. The page never leaves your browser as raw HTML — only the cleaned markdown lands on Folio's servers.
• One click. Sign in once, then every save is a single toolbar tap.
• Already saved? The popup recognises pages already in your library and shows them as "Already saved → Open in Folio" instead of asking you to re-send.
• Right-click anywhere. "Send page to Folio" is added to the page context menu and the toolbar's right-click menu.
• Keyboard shortcut. ⌘⇧S on Mac / Ctrl+Shift+S elsewhere.
What you need
• A Folio account at myfolio.so.
• Chrome 116+ (Manifest V3, service-worker-based).
Privacy
• The extension talks to https://myfolio.so only. No third-party analytics, no telemetry.
• The article body is processed entirely inside your browser using Mozilla's open-source Readability library. Folio receives clean markdown, the page URL, the title, and an excerpt.
• You can sign out from the popup or the options page; doing so clears the stored access token and the local cache of saved-URL ids.
