🔍 Smarter Search The search bar now finds books by title, author name, description, notes, and genre tags — not just the title.

⚠️ Source Error Indicator If RoyalRoad can't be reached when checking for updates, the book's detail page will now show a clear warning with the date the problem first appeared — so you always know which sources need attention.

📊 Check All: Progress Bar & Rate Limiting The "Check all" button now shows a floating progress bar with the current book name and count (e.g. "Checking 4 / 17"). Updates are spaced 3 seconds apart to avoid overloading RoyalRoad. You can cancel the process at any time with the ✕ button.

🚫 Duplicate Detection Adding a book that's already in your shelf is now caught automatically. If the URL matches an existing entry, you'll see a warning and a direct link to the existing book. If only the title matches, you'll be asked to confirm before saving.

📥 Smarter Import: Merge or Replace When importing a backup file, you can now choose:

Merge – only adds books that aren't already in your shelf, leaving everything else untouched
Replace – overwrites all data (same as before) A preview dialog shows you exactly how many books will be added or skipped before anything is written.
🖼️ Cover Retry Fix If a cover image couldn't be downloaded (e.g. due to a network error), the extension will now wait 24 hours before trying again instead of retrying on every startup.

🕐 Better "Last Checked" Display Update timestamps on the book detail page now show as relative times ("2 hours ago", "3 days ago") instead of raw dates.

🖼️ Offline Cover Images All covers are downloaded and stored locally. Your library looks great even without an internet connection.

📋 Grid & List View Switch between a visual grid and a detailed list view. Sort by title, author, status, last read date, or new chapters. Filter by genre and reading status.

💾 Full Backup & Restore Export your complete library as a JSON file (including cover images). Import it on any device to restore your data.

📌 Side Panel Quick-access side panel shows your currently reading books right alongside any webpage.
