Overview
Block the rot. Track your time, build awareness, reclaim your attention.
Rot Block is a privacy-first browsing companion that helps you notice, and change, how you actually spend your time online.
Most "site blockers" treat you like a problem to be locked out. Rot Block treats you like an adult who wants better defaults. It quietly tracks the time you spend on each site, sorts it into distracting and productive buckets you control, and gently interrupts the doomscroll before it eats your afternoon.
What it does
- Time tracking by site. Every active tab is tracked locally and grouped by domain, so you can see exactly where your hours are going.
- Habit prompts. When you've been on a distracting site longer than feels healthy, a small overlay asks if this is really what you meant to do. Dismiss it and move on, or close the tab and move on with your day.
- Checkpoint prompts. Periodic, lightweight nudges that surface what you've spent time on. Rot Block helps you stay aware instead of zoning out.
- Focus sessions. Start a timer from the toolbar popup. Distracting sites are blocked with a full-page overlay until you're done. Past sessions live in your dashboard so you can see your streaks.
- A focus dashboard. Overview, domains breakdown, focus history, and settings; with charts that actually mean something.
Privacy
- All browsing data is stored locally by default. Sync is opt-in.
- No ads. No tracking pixels. No selling your data — there's no one to sell it to.
- You control which domains are considered distracting and which are productive. Your definitions, not ours.
Open a new tab. Pick the site. Spend the time on purpose.
