Why Context Matters

Traditional dictionary lookups give you generic definitions. But words and phrases often mean different things depending on where they appear. Eg: An emulator is someoneone that emulates but it can also be a hardware/software hat enables one computer system to behave like another.

Choose from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), or Google Gemini. Use whichever provider you prefer, or set up multiple as backups. Drag and drop to set your priority order—Rhino will automatically try the next provider if your primary one is unavailable.

How to Get Started

1. Install Rhino
2. (Optional) Pin the extension to your toolbar to easily change API keys and change order of preference.
3. Click the Rhino icon in your browser toolbar
4. Add your API key for at least one provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini)
5. Start selecting text on any webpage

API keys are available from:

• Google AI Studio: aistudio.google.com

A Note on API Costs

Rhino uses your own API keys, which means you pay the AI provider directly based on your usage. The good news: explanations are short, so costs are minimal. A typical explanation costs a fraction of a cent. Most users spend less than a dollar per month even with heavy use.
