Return YouTube Dislike

YouTube removed public dislike counts in November 2021 — this extension brings them back.

Return YouTube Dislike displays the dislike count directly next to the 👎 dislike button on every YouTube video, in the same style as the like count. No clutter, no popups — it just works silently in the background.

How it works

Dislike data is fetched from the Return YouTube Dislike API at https://returnyoutubedislikeapi.com — a free, community-maintained service that combines archived YouTube data with estimates based on real user votes from millions of extension users worldwide. Counts are cached locally for 10 minutes to keep things fast and efficient.
