Overview

RephraserAI is a lightweight Chrome extension (under 50 KB) that lets you rephrase selected text using advanced AI models in less than half a second. Open-source and designed to run locally, it supports various AI services, including Gemini (default) or OpenAI. Experience the lightest, fastest, and most efficient rephrasing tool available.

Usage

1. Select the text you want to rephrase.
2. Use the keyboard shortcut Cmd + U (for Mac) or Ctrl + U (for Windows/Linux). Alternatively, right-click on the selected text and choose "Rephrase with RephraserAI" from the context menu.
3. The rephrased text will appear in a popup window.
4. You can copy the rephrased text to the clipboard by clicking the "Copy" button.

Advanced Features

- Gemini API: Use your own Gemini API key to rephrase text.
- OpenAI-Compatible API : Use any OpenAI-compatible API by entering the base URL and API key.
- Local Execution: Run the extension locally using Ollama by setting the base URL to http://localhost:11434/v1.
