Overview
Generate a Chrome Remote Desktop support code and copy a shareable connection URL.
Just a small convenience
Normal flow
User 1:
1. Navigate to https://remotedesktop.google.com/
2. Click Remote Support
3. Press [Generate Code]
4. Press Copy
5. Paste code into a chat, or else read the number out loud over the phone
User 2.
0. Copy the number sent to you in chat by User1
1. Navigate to https://remotedesktop.google.com/
2. Click Remote Support
3. Click the number field
4. Paste the number
5. Click [Connect]
Streamlined flow
User 1:
1. Press the RDL extension icon (pinned)
2. Paste into chat; that pastes a link, not just a code
User 2:
1. Click the link that you received in chat
2. Press [Connect]
