Overview
Redacted Mode is a visual satire tool that applies FOIA-style redactions to web pages.
When activated, it hides a configurable percentage of already visible text using classic black bars (███), mimicking how official documents are often released.
The extension does not reveal hidden information, bypass paywalls, or access restricted content. It only modifies text that is already rendered in the user’s browser.
Features include adjustable redaction percentage, deterministic seed-based patterns, and one-click apply and undo.
All processing happens locally. No data is collected or transmitted.
