Prompt Vault

Prompt Vault is a lightweight Chrome extension that lets you save, tag, search, and reuse your best prompts from anywhere online.

Instead of losing great prompts in random docs or chats, you can grab them directly from the page, store them in one clean vault, and reuse them with a single click.

What this extension does

Captures text from the current page using:

The “Grab from page” button in the popup (selection, focused input, textarea, or contentEditable)

The right-click menu option: “Save selection to Prompt Vault”

Saves each prompt with:

A title

Optional tags (comma-separated)

The full prompt body

Stores all prompts locally in Chrome storage (no account, no server).

Key features

Grab from page: Quickly capture prompts from ChatGPT, Claude, Notion, docs, or any other site.

Context menu save: Highlight text, right-click, and send it straight to Prompt Vault.

Tag and search: Add tags (e.g., “kdp”, “coloring”, “ads”) and filter by title, tags, or body text.

Fast reuse: Double-click a saved prompt to load it back into the editor area, then copy or tweak as needed.

One-click copy: Copy the full prompt text with a single button inside each saved item.

Local only: Everything is stored in your browser’s local storage – no external database, no login.
