Overview
Chrome Web Store resubmission draft
Short description
Prompt library and workflow runner for AI chat apps, with local-first storage and optional Pro features.
Single purpose description
Prompt Magnus Pro has one single purpose: helping users save, organize, and reuse prompts and simple prompt-driven workflows directly inside supported AI chat websites.
Detailed description
Prompt Magnus Pro helps users save, organize, and reuse prompts without leaving the AI chat tab. It adds an in-page library, popup runner, keyboard picker, and workflow tools so repeatable prompt-based work is faster and easier to manage.
Core features
- Save reusable prompts with titles, descriptions, tags, categories, pinning, and default actions.
- Insert prompts into the active composer, append to existing text, or insert and send.
- Open a searchable `//` prompt picker directly from supported chat inputs.
- Use `%N` numeric shortcuts for faster prompt expansion.
- Build and run simple multi-step workflows that send steps in order.
- Use Smart Variables to fill placeholders before running a prompt or workflow.
- Import and export prompt libraries as JSON for backup or migration.
- Add image attachments to prompts and workflow steps.
- Keep conversation notes inside supported AI chat apps.
- View recent local diagnostic event logs for failed or interrupted runs.
Supported apps
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Gemini
- DeepSeek
Access and licensing
- ChatGPT is the default supported experience.
- Support on Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek requires an active Prompt Magnus Pro license in the current codebase.
- Smart Variables are also gated behind Pro in the current codebase.
What the extension accesses on supported sites
- The active chat composer so it can insert or append saved prompt text.
- Send-state and generation-state elements so it can confirm prompt insertion, optional sending, and workflow progress.
- Attachment controls when the user chooses to use image attachments.
- Page elements needed to place the extension's own sidebar, popup-driven actions, notes drawer, and floating button.
How data is stored
- Prompt library data is stored locally in extension storage.
- Small settings may also be mirrored in Chrome sync storage.
- Local diagnostic event logs are stored in extension storage until cleared by the user.
- Local note drafts and UI state are stored in extension storage.
- Attachment metadata is stored in extension storage, and local image attachment blobs are stored in the extension's local asset store.
When Prompt Magnus connects to its backend
- When the user verifies a license, the extension sends the license email, license key, and extension version to the Prompt Magnus license endpoint.
- When a verified license session is available, the notes feature can save and load conversation notes from the Prompt Magnus backend.
- The codebase also includes authenticated remote library and attachment backup paths. If those flows are used, saved library data and uploaded image attachment assets may be transmitted to the Prompt Magnus backend.
What Prompt Magnus does not do
- The current codebase does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
- It does not request broad permissions such as tabs, history, cookies, or webNavigation.
- It does not sell user data.
- It does not use saved prompts, notes, or attachment content for advertising.
- It does not use saved prompts, notes, or attachment content to train AI models.
Transparency note
Any prompt text the user chooses to send is submitted to the AI site they are actively using. Users should avoid sending sensitive information unless they are comfortable with that provider's policies.
