Overview
portaltext bridges the gap between hyperlink origin and destination. Hover any link and get a short, context-aware summary of where it leads. Hover the links inside each summary to recurse deeper.
Works on articles, PDFs, images, and academic citations (arXiv, DOI, PMID). One click annotates a whole page with hoverable concepts. Every Wikipedia link is verified against the live API. AI connects pages that already exist, simply summarizing the bridge between them, never hallucinating new information.
Free, account-less, open source (github.com/alaskahoffman/portaltext). No tracking, no hover history, no ads. Supporters keep it free for everyone.
