Overview
Parallax detects rhetorical techniques, logical fallacies, and selective framing in the articles you read — in real time.
Every article you read is shaped by choices: what to include, what to leave out, which words to use, and how to frame the facts. Parallax makes those choices visible.
How it works
Click the Parallax icon on any article. The extension scans the text and highlights passages that use rhetorical techniques like loaded language, cherry-picked evidence, false equivalence, appeal to emotion, and 20+ others. Each highlight includes a plain-language explanation of the technique and why it matters.
What you get
— Inline highlights that show exactly where techniques appear in the text
— A sidebar with a full breakdown of every detected technique
— Confidence scores so you can focus on the strongest detections
— A Framing Score that summarises how heavily the article relies on persuasion over substance
— Blind Spot Analysis that identifies what the article doesn't tell you: missing perspectives, omitted context, and counterarguments
— A built-in glossary of every rhetorical technique Parallax detects
— A chat assistant you can ask follow-up questions about any flagged passage
Who it's for
Parallax is for anyone who wants to read more critically: students, researchers, journalists, or anyone tired of being quietly persuaded. It doesn't tell you what to think — it shows you how the writing is trying to make you think.
