PageRedact is a privacy-first Chrome extension for capturing screenshots and redacting sensitive information. Auto-detect emails, phone numbers, IBANs, credit cards, and API keys, then redact them with one click. Add watermarks, signatures, text annotations, and export as PDF (with selectable text), PNG, or JPG. Captured content never leaves your browser. We contact our license server once per day to verify paid subscriptions and send only your license token, never any captured content. GDPR-ready by design.

CAPTURE
- Full Page: auto-scroll and stitch the entire page
- Region: draw a rectangle to capture any area, with aspect-ratio presets including Chrome Web Store sizes

REDACT
- Manual blur, black box, oval mask, tinted blur with adjustable intensity and shape
- Auto-detect sensitive data (Pro): scan for emails, phone numbers, IBANs, credit cards, API keys, and tokens, then redact every match at once
- All redactions are baked into the pixels on export. There is no layer to remove and no original to recover.

ANNOTATE
- Text: multiple fonts, sizes, colors, bold, italic, underline
- Signature: draw, type, or upload your signature
- Image: upload PNG, JPG, or WebP images as overlays
- Watermarks (Pro): diagonal CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, or your own custom text with adjustable opacity, applied to every page on export

PRIVACY
- Captured content (screenshots, PDFs, page DOM) never leaves your browser. All capture, redaction, OCR, and export happens locally on your device.
- For Pro subscribers, the extension contacts our license server (api.pageredact.com) once per day to verify the active subscription. Only your license token, a random device identifier, your browser type, and country code are sent. Captured content is never transmitted.
- No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry.
- Requires access to all websites to capture full-page screenshots of any page you visit. The extension scrolls the page and captures content; no page content is transmitted externally.
