OriginalUI is a comprehensive browser protection extension that defends against modern web threats through multiple layers of security.

WHAT IT DOES

• Element Removal — Automatically removes intrusive ads, pop-ups, newsletter modals, and tracking widgets using intelligent CSS selector rules. Works on any website with both built-in and custom rules you define.

• Navigation Guardian — Intercepts suspicious cross-origin redirects before they happen. When a site tries to navigate you to an unfamiliar domain, you'll see a clear prompt to block or allow—stopping pop-unders and malicious redirects in their tracks.

• Network Request Blocking — Blocks tracking requests and known malicious domains at the network level before they can load. Uses the modern declarativeNetRequest API for efficient, battery-friendly blocking.

• Click Hijacking Protection — Detects and neutralizes invisible overlays and click-jacking attempts that try to trick you into unintended actions.

HOW IT WORKS

OriginalUI uses a defense-in-depth strategy. Instead of relying on a single blocking method, it combines DOM-level element removal, JavaScript interception, and network-level blocking to provide comprehensive coverage against evolving threats.

All protection systems can be individually enabled or disabled. Whitelist sites you trust to exempt them from all protection—useful for banking sites, internal tools, or any domain you know is clean.

PRIVACY

OriginalUI operates entirely locally. No data is sent to external servers. All your settings, whitelists, and custom rules are stored in Chrome's local storage on your device.
