Ordforråd

An open source, AI-based vocabulary card builder for language learners.

Select a word on any webpage, right-click, and choose "Add to Ordforråd". The extension calls an LLM in the background and creates a flashcard with translation, pronunciation, word class, grammar notes, an example sentence, and a memory tip. When you have enough cards, export them to Anki as a .apkg file.

Getting started
Open the extension popup, click the gear icon, and configure one of the supported AI providers below. Once saved, right-click any word on a webpage to create your first card.

Supported providers (one required)
- LM Studio (local, free, no API key needed — requires LM Studio running on your machine)
- OpenAI (API key required)
- Anthropic (API key required)
- Google AI (API key required)

With LM Studio, all processing happens on your machine. No data leaves your device.

22 supported languages
Set your learning language and native language in the settings. The prompt adapts automatically.

Supports: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish.

Flashcard content is generated by an AI model and may contain errors. Always review cards before adding them to your Anki deck.
