Overview
OBi unlocks the key to an open internet through Ordinals Theory and Bitmaps. Welcome to web5!
This extension allows users to redirect from any .bitmap input into their URL bar to the most recent* inscription on their Bitmap's sat. Through the process of reinscription and OBi we truly unlock the potential that Bitmap starts to ignite. Ord explorers alone provide us the sweet sweet nectar of ordinals content, but disconnected from the panoply of a smorgasbord that the internet presents.
Now, through your Bitmaps you can use OBi to unlock that potential and run the nodes with the tethers unleashed! HTML... works, jpegs... we got 'em, and some other rando stuff that ain't malicious code... throw it on your bitmap and FAFO anon! This extension simply unlocks the content that is there, then locks it back up for some extra security. You still need to CYA and don't surf the nodes with your wallets active or click any funny buttons.
To use, input either raw Address.Bitmap (0.bitmap) or http(s)://Address.Bitmap (http://187420.bitmap) and you'll be redirected to the appropriate page to view what's registered as the most recent* inscription on that Address.
All content is displayed from public Ord explorers and creators take no responsibility for the content viewed or visited. We can not control what is put on the Bitcoin blockchain, and have taken security precautions readable in the open source code at https://github.com/thebitmaptoshi/OBi. You can also fork this code and run your own versions, as well as add additional or personal API access points.
Name.bitmap is not a consensus protocol, contact the dev to manually add your name for free and fun only.
*Most recent is addressed through our OCI inspired (thank you @Boppleton) algo to redirect with fresh API calls for each inquiry All calls will fetch the most recent block's bitmap data, directly to your eyeballs!
**SECURITY**
DO NOT SURF OBi WITH AN ACTIVE WALLET!
Be smort and make sure you turn any browser wallet extensions off while exploring, and sign out of any others.
v1.2.1 Fixes a name.bitmap redirect bug and adds the /SatIndex ability. address.bitmap/0 brings up 99.99% of bitmap inscriptions. Can direct to the inscription of any satpoint with blockheight.bitmap/n path.
