Overview
Recipe sites are noisy. Pop-up newsletters, autoplay videos, three-paragraph life stories about why this is "the only chocolate chip cookie recipe you'll ever need"... and somewhere down the page, a recipe.
Only Recipes strips it all away. When it detects a recipe (using the same schema.org metadata Google uses for rich results), it replaces the page with a clean, editorial reader view: single photo, ingredients, steps. That's it.
WHAT IT DOES
• Auto-detects recipes on any site that uses schema.org Recipe markup (which is most major recipe sites and food blogs)
• Replaces the cluttered page with an editorial reader view: serif headings, generous whitespace, light + dark mode
• Click ingredients and steps to mark them done: your progress persists per recipe
• Adjust serving size: quantities scale automatically with nice fractions (1/2, 2/3, 3/4) instead of ugly decimals
• Switch between metric and imperial: cups ↔ mL, oz ↔ g, °F ↔ °C
• Save recipes to a local list: find them again from the toolbar popup
• "Keep Screen Awake": toggle on while you cook so your screen doesn't dim with messy hands
• Print-friendly: clean black-on-white printout when you want a physical copy
• "Show original" button: switch back to the full original page anytime
NO TRACKING. NO ADS. NO ACCOUNTS.
Only Recipes runs entirely on your device. It makes no network requests of its own. It collects no analytics. It has no servers. Saved recipes and preferences live in your browser's local storage and never leave your computer.

PERMISSIONS
• "Read your data on all websites": required for auto-detect; the extension only reads schema.org Recipe metadata embedded in the page
If you find Only Recipes useful, there's a small "Buy me a coffee" link in the toolbar popup. The extension is and will remain free. I built it for my wife (and myself) and we want fewer purchases in our lives, not more.
