Octonomy Demo Wizard

Octonomy Demo Wizard is an internal sales and demo tool for Octonomy teams. It allows the Octonomy AI chat widget to be demonstrated live on any prospect or customer website — without requiring any backend changes or whitelisting.

WHAT IT DOES

During sales demos, the Octonomy chat widget needs to load on websites that are not whitelisted in the Octonomy backend. This extension bridges that gap by:

• Handling CORS restrictions so the widget can communicate with Octonomy servers from any domain
• Removing Content Security Policy headers that would block external scripts
• Adjusting cross-origin security headers (COOP, COEP, CORP) so the widget functions correctly
• Removing CSP meta tags from page HTML that bypass header-level removal
• Automatically detecting the website's brand colors and applying them to the widget
• Injecting the Octonomy chat widget with one click

WHO THIS IS FOR

This extension is intended exclusively for Octonomy sales representatives and demo engineers. It is not a general-purpose browsing tool.

HOW TO USE

1. Install the extension
2. Navigate to the website where you want to demo the Octonomy widget
3. Reload the page once (required for header modifications to take effect)
4. Click the extension icon and press "Inject Widget"
5. The widget appears styled with the site's brand colors

IMPORTANT NOTES

This extension modifies browser security headers during use. It should only be enabled during demos and disabled or removed during regular browsing. It is designed for controlled demo environments, not everyday use.

All network requests remain between the browser and Octonomy's own servers. No user data is collected, stored, or transmitted to any third party.
