🎵 Mode 1: Visualizing Browser Tab Audio (Music, Videos, etc.)
This is the default mode, perfect for visualizing music from platforms like YouTube, Spotify Web, SoundCloud, or any other website playing audio.
Navigate to any standard website and play some audio.
Click the MusicWave extension icon in your Chrome toolbar.
The visualizer window will open and immediately sync with the high-fidelity audio playing directly from your current tab. (Note: If you switch tabs, the visualizer will continue to listen to the original tab you activated it on). You can also switch to Tab mode if you are on mic mode
🎤 Mode 2: Visualizing Ambient Sound (Microphone)
If you want to visualize live music in your room, your own voice, or external speakers, you can easily trigger the microphone fallback mode in the drop down.
Click on the MusicWave extension. Hover over the upper right corner and change it to Microphone mode. Your browser will prompt you for Microphone permissions. Click Allow.
The visualizer will now react to external sounds picked up by your computer's built-in or connected microphone!
