Overview

See what Meta sees. Fix what Meta doesn't.

What it does
Meta Pixel Inspector is a Chrome extension that monitors and validates Meta (Facebook) Pixel events in real-time. It runs in a sidebar panel so you can browse normally while watching every event fire — no login required, no popups that disappear when you click away.

Key Features

🆕 Privacy Sandbox support
Detects and parses Meta's new Privacy Sandbox / Attribution Reporting API requests — not currently supported by the official Meta Pixel Helper extension. Each event shows whether it's a Standard or Privacy Sandbox request, with full visibility into page metadata and attribution parameters.

Real-time event stream
Every pixel event appears instantly in the sidebar as you browse. Events are displayed in a clean, scannable list with clear visual hierarchy — event name, pixel ID, and timestamp at a glance.
Smart validation
The extension understands Meta's e-commerce event requirements and validates each event accordingly:

Flags missing required parameters (e.g. no content_ids or contents on a Purchase)
Detects empty fields that exist but aren't populating — a common tagging bug
Validates data types (value should be a number, not a string)
Checks currency codes against ISO 4217 standards
Catches duplicate events firing within 500ms

Event-aware checking
Validation adapts to each event type. For example, quantity is expected in the contents array for AddToCart and Purchase, but not flagged as missing on ViewContent. content_type can be product_group on ViewContent but should be product from AddToCart onwards.
Clear issue hierarchy
Problems are categorised so you know what matters:

Errors (red) — Required parameters missing, will impact tracking
Warnings (yellow) — Data format issues, duplicates, empty fields
Recommendations (purple) — Optional parameters that would improve tracking, with explanations of why they help (e.g. "value — Required for ROAS tracking and conversion value optimisation")

Multi-pixel support
Sites often have multiple pixels (agency + client, or test + production). Every event shows which pixel ID fired it, and you can filter by pixel ID to focus on just one.
No login required
Unlike Meta's official Pixel Helper (which now requires authentication), this works immediately for anyone — freelancers checking client sites, agencies running audits, developers debugging implementations.
Copy & share
One-click copy of any event as JSON for support tickets, documentation, or sharing with developers.

Who it's for

Digital marketers validating their tracking setup
GTM specialists debugging pixel implementations
Agencies auditing client sites without needing account access
Developers checking their e-commerce integration sends the right data
