Overview
MeetScribe captures every word spoken in your Google Meet calls - automatically, in real time, with speaker names attached. No bots join your call and no audio leaves your browser. The extension works entirely on your device using Google Meet's built-in captions.
WHAT YOU GET
When you join a Google Meet call, MeetScribe starts transcribing immediately. A compact floating panel on the page shows the live transcript as people speak. After the meeting, the full transcript is saved and accessible from the extension popup - forever.

• Complete meeting history: every past meeting stored locally with title, date, duration, and participant list
• Chat capture: meeting chat messages are saved alongside the transcript
• Smart merging: consecutive messages from the same speaker are combined into coherent paragraphs

PRIVACY
MeetScribe runs 100% locally. Transcription is powered by Google Meet's own caption system - no audio is recorded, no data is sent to external servers, and no bot joins your call. All meeting data is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Install MeetScribe
2. Join a Google Meet call
3. Captions are enabled automatically - MeetScribe captures and organizes the text in real time
4. Review, export, or copy your transcript at any time
Perfect for keeping meeting minutes, documenting decisions, reviewing what was said, or making calls accessible to team members who couldn't attend.
