Overview
Mana God is a fantasy real-time strategy defense game where players protect a castle from continuous waves of invading goblins. Instead of controlling a single character, the player acts like a powerful magical overseer who manages villagers, gathers resources, and uses spells to stop enemy attacks. Villagers collect materials and maintain the fortress while the player activates magical abilities to destroy enemies, ignite bombs, or support defensive structures such as cannons. The challenge comes from balancing economy and combat—if resources are managed poorly, the castle defenses quickly collapse under enemy pressure.
The game was created by a group of indie developers from the Blackthornprod community and released as a browser-playable HTML5 strategy game. Its design combines tower-defense elements with light RTS mechanics: build defenses, protect workers, and use magical power at the right moment to control the battlefield. The pacing becomes progressively more intense as goblin waves grow stronger, forcing players to refine their strategy and reach higher survival scores. This blend of base defense, resource management, and magical abilities gives the game a dynamic gameplay loop that rewards both quick decisions and long-term planning.
