Majik Message: Post-Quantum Browser Encryption

Majik Message Extension is a local-first security tool for encrypting and decrypting text directly within your browser. It is built on cryptographic identity rather than personal accounts—giving you total ownership of your private communications across any website or platform.

Note: This extension focuses on local, offline encryption and decryption workflows. It operates entirely on your device and does not currently include real-time chat messaging or Threads.

How It Works

Quantum-Safe Encryption Anywhere
• Highlight and Protect: Encrypt text on any website—from webmail and social media to document editors. Simply highlight text and use the right-click menu to transform your message into a secure cryptographic string.
• Portable Output: Encrypted messages are generated as portable strings (prefixed with ~*$MJKMSG:) that you can share via any medium. Only your designated recipients with the correct keys can unlock them.

Automatic Page Scanning & DOM Integration
• Real-Time Detection: The extension scans web pages and input fields for ~*$MJKMSG: strings automatically.
• Inline Decryption: When an encrypted message addressed to you is detected, it can be decrypted instantly without you ever leaving the page.

Cryptographic Identity (No Accounts)
• Seed Phrase Power: Your account is a 12-word BIP39 seed phrase—no email, phone number, or registration required.
• Local-First Security: Your private keys never leave your device. They are encrypted at rest using Argon2id and are only loaded into memory during your active session.
