Overview
Have you ever been watching a standard longform YouTube video, then looked over to the side and seen an interesting short from a creator you like? Maybe it was an animation, or a factoid, or maybe it was a longform video disguised as a short (why can they be three minutes by the way? I thought they were shorts?). Whatever the situation was, you click it and, oh no! you're being forced into a horrible mobile UI on your own desktop! No easy pausing, no simple forward/backward buttons, nothing to do but scroll up and down to get more slop! This is now a problem of the past. With this simple extension, any time you click on a short, whether its from within YouTube itself, or from an external site, it will play that short within the standard video viewer.
Disclaimer: This was made in just a few hours (I haven't worked with JS in a while, network stuff confused me), and tested in just a few minutes. There is likely bugs, so please report them to the support url. Additionally I am terrible at graphic/nomen design, so if you have a better idea for a name or extension icon please also suggest them in the support url.
